START-UP FEAR? OUTSOURCING MAKES THE START EASIER!

Günter Faltin encouraged his readers in “Brain versus Capital” some time ago with the claim that the modern founder does not have to be a jack-of-all-trades. They should never do everything themselves– that is not just to keep their head clear for the further development of the concept idea, it is also to trade more cost-effectively. Instead, he suggests radically outsourcing all processes to professional providers and making the start-up from components, which avoids fixed costs.

HOW TO OUTSOURCE YOUR TELEPHONE RECEPTION WITH A CALL ANSWERING SERVICE

One example of such a process is outsourcing the telephone: By transferring their incoming calls to an external office service, founders and SME’s avoid the burden of fixed costs for their own secretarial staff. Additionally, they call on the telephone service if they are not personally available or do not wish to be disturbed. A virtual secretary takes calls on their behalf and informs them immediately of the content of each call by e-mail, SMS or fax. Calls can then be dealt with at a more suitable time and the telephone service will ease the workload.
